Dual Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering (Robotics) from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU)
I am Junyun Tay and I graduated from the NTU-CMU Dual Ph.D. programme in Engineering (Robotics) funded by the Economic Development Board of Singapore. My thesis is titled "Autonomous Animation of Humanoid Robots". I was advised by Prof. Manuela Veloso and Prof. I-Ming Chen.
I am interested in the area of robotics and artificial intelligence, in particular human-robot interaction and learning. I aim to research and apply artificial intelligent approaches to real world problems where agents or machines reason, plan and act cooperatively. I am also interested in machine learning techniques that enable agents or machines to learn from past historical data to improve performance.
